Fish Lake ice conditions report

Just talked to the folks at the lodge. Ice is about 4" deep on the south end of the lake. Most of the snow covered areas are fishable. Be careful! Tight lines.

There's still a large area of open water on the north side of the lake. We need another cold spell.

There is still a lot of open water at Fish Lake. The south end has fish-able ice. Lot's of people are heading out from Lakeside Marina and safely fishing on 6". There is a definitive difference between the "white" ice and the "clear" ice. The clear stuff is about 2-3 inches thick. If it snows, you won't be able to see where it changes from white to clear. Hopefully by the time it snows again, it will be plenty thick.

We still need some cold temps to get the whole lake frozen. It's just been too warm to freeze so far.
