2017 Burbot Bash

This will be my first year hitting the bash. Have any of you that have gone have any advice for a newbie to the gorge? We are thinking of staying in manila and then driving up and fishing out of Buckboard or Lucerne. Any advice would be helpful and welcome.

Just got back from a 3 day trip and ice fishing sucked. I fished Lost Dog, Confluence, and Firehole. They all got 10-14" of clear ice for 2 days then on the third day about 1/2" - 1" of snow on monday. Fishing was just slow for everyone I've talked to. Burbots range from 12-21". Buckboard Was just barely capping up so Lecerne gotta be wide open.

Best wished but I have a feeling that no one is going to be doing that good this coming burbot bash.
