Rockport ice conditions

Does anyone have any reports on the ice/snow conditions at Rockport?

I was near the boat ramp this morning and the ice is a solid four inches. There is a layer of slush that makes it feel questionable, but underneath that it is fine. Fishing was great for small rainbows on a chartreuse shrimpBo below an attractor spoon tipped with a meal worm. I did get one nice thick 17 inch football rainbow. I didn't go much farther than 50 yards off shore.

I was out there yesterday and had the same experience. Near the dam had at least 5 inches. Also caught a 17" bow with the same set up. It was bitter cold out with roughly a foot of snow on top of the ice.
