A mixed bag o berries

Escaped fridays  hundo in the valley
My pops wanted to fish east portal
i dont do fishin lectronics well cept to rock out to

so i tend to fish where i know the structure and have gotten em before
got a later start than i like
threw in at chix creek
were gittin a few hits and a ldr
old man showed up
without any rods
we rowed back over to give him a spare and help him launch his scrandon
and headed back towards the island at the mouth of the bay

nice day little to no wind till noon
theres a nice bar that goes out into the bay off the island today isthmus tomorrow
found  a couplepods of 20 to 30
cruising in the top of the water column
 munching chromies on occasion
couldnt git em to eat ours
yad throw and they move a few feet from the line hitting the water or move when the boat passed over but
pretty much staid off that bar and laughed at us
Old man managed a couple but we threw the skunk
got home to the triple digits heat and managed to unload and clean the boat a little
spent saturday appeasing my old lady and tending to the veggie garden and berries and screwed up irrigation system

and somethins ive been procrastinating a few years now

pops went back and fished east portal
well after he went back to pc to git his rods
when he tells me he got 32 from 11-2
i believe him as unlike his offspring he likes to quantify success
He and his crew manage to fish 2 rods off their toons so he says he was doubled up a good bit
Not much good ever happens when i try to fish 2
with rods attached to fish exiting the boat being the worse 
So i made plans to fish with him sunday
he didnt make it but i manage to be out the door 4 sumthin
and on the water fore 6

gorgie morn
handshaked a few the first 1/2 hour but couldnt keep em on
switched flis and started to stick em



while dropping the waters clear so i messed around a bit with the waterproof nikon point n shoot

stuck a nice bow that actually fought other than the cutty head shake
winds cranked up a bit after 10

think i ended up with  a bakers dozen of slot cutts and kept 3 bows for my bros big green egg and smoke em if ya gots em

bank bait dunkers were all doing well and plenty of bent sticks on the boats

stomachs full of

managed to score a nice shot
cause i just stick that camera in the water point shoot and pray
and sometimes your rewarded

The hound looks like he is seriously considering taking a munch out of that cutty. That cutty is looking like he might return the favor.
