Wind forecast for Jordanelle this morning indicated very light wind so I thought I would see if I could find some shore sections recently free of ice. Of course as often is the case for me, the wind was howling steadily at probably 15 to 20.
I did manage to find some fishy sections and in spite of the wind was able to hook into three species: rainbow, brown and splake. All were caught on variations of balanced leech patterns. Fishing wasn't fast, but the fish (especially the browns) were very nice sized and definitely put a bend on the rod.
