The USFS manages the land around the privately owned Vernon Reservoir. They are making major changes I thought y’all would want to be aware of. They are making the entire area around the reservoir into numbered camp sights and prohibiting all camping except in their improved areas. Not sure if it will all be a few area but I bet it will be. All the primitive area south of the reservoir is now off limits with obstacles and signs installed. This has needed to happen for several years as it became an absolute joke to see the city up there on weekends. I’m sure all this will do is cause people to go further away from the area and ruin new areas as the enforcement will no doubt keep lagging. But it’s a start.
