Mirror Lake, 7/3
#1
Took the kids up to Mirror Lake yesterday.  6 of us fished (4 actually tried for more than 20 mins) from about 1030 to 1400.  Caught 16 fish, 9 Tigers, 7 Rainbows.  All on nightcrawlers fished on the bottom.  Most were under 12 inches and skinny, figure those were recently stocked.  Caught a couple chunky 12-16 inch fish that looked real healthy.  Took home two that were gut hooked, successfully released the rest.  60 degrees and windy, made for a great day for the kids to not be playing video games.   I have one on crutches for the entire summer, so we'll be regularly hitting the easy access lakes along Mirror Lake Highway to get them out of the valley heat and outside cell coverage.

It is nice to beat the heat in the mts with a fishing pole.
Remember: keep the lid on the worms, share your jerky, and stop by to say hi to Cookie and the Cowboy-Pirate crew

Fun report, I love trout fishing in the mountains. I really like Aug and Sept when there are fewer mosquitoes.
