FALL BROOKIES
#1
I just have to say, fall brookies are our all-time favorites! The colors are just stunning! We got to our usual fall spot around 0700, just as the sky was starting to lighten up. Surprised to see some snow still left up there from our previous cold front. Had the place all to ourselves. As soon as we got to our spot, we had fish on...and it went that way for the first 2 hrs of the day until the sun got high enough to slow them down up shallow. Flies of the morning were egg patterns (they were dropping egss like crazy) and black zebras. Once it slowed down in that spot, we ventured back toward where we put in and noticed a HUGE school of brookies hanging out in that bay and proceeded to knock em dead again until we finally had to go around 1300. It was the perfect day...perfect weather, perfect conditions, perfect fish with the perfect fishing partner (my eldest daughter). I was one happy man! More than likely won't make it back up there with this next system moving through and temps dropping, but that's ok...we caught our fill!

I don't think there is a more beautiful fish than a Brookie. The colors are so vibrant and distinguishable compared to other fish. One of my favorite fish to catch. There is no better fishing partner than one of your own kids. Great photos and thanks for sharing.
