Any white bass running yet?

White bass have been up and down the past few years...both in numbers and sizes.  There are a few bigguns...up to 13 inches...but most are under 10 inches.  And the numbers are not nearly what they have been in some years past.

As far as "running", there really is no fall "run".  However you can sometimes find them grouped up around an inlet like Battle Creek at Lindon, the wastewater outlet nearby, the Provo River inlet and both the Spanish Fork River and Benjamin Slough.  However, as the water cools, a lot of white bass come into the harbors and there can be some good fishing around the docks both before and after iceup.

Not many people targeting white bass...and/or reporting about it right now.  But if you can find them you can usually get them to hit something this time of year...especially as the water cools down.
