So the FishDoc and I decided to make the trek to Mill Meadow Reservoir from Lehi and it was well worth it. Despite the 4 hour drive due to the worst roads ever, we had a great time. We started fishing around 9:15 AM and it started slow. We fished just off of the boat ramp in about 15-17 feet of water off of the bottom. After a slow start, the old Mill Meadow was back for fast action for perch, splake, and brown trout. We mostly used ice flys with kastmaster and wax worms, although the "Doc" slayed them with the artificial waxies. I am not even sure exactly how many fish we caught, but it was pretty steady all morning. We met up with Eric, who helped us out a little bit (Thanks Eric) and also met some fellow BFT folk. Here are a few pictures just for proof!!
BTW: soft edges required a plank, but there was easily 7-8 inches of solid ice.
