Anyone been doing any good for browns at the nelle? I am going to try this week before I put the boat away.[fishon]

[#0000ff]I was fishing for perch last Friday and had browns following up some of the perch I hooked in 30 feet of water. And there I was with wimpy perch gear. [/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Look for stretches of shoreline with trees and brush. That is where the baby perch are holed up and the larger perch are hanging out and feeding on the babies. The big browns eat both.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]You can also work areas where rocky rubble comes down into the lake...or long underwater points. You just have to find where the big boys are holding.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]The big consideration right now is the spawn. Some of the browns are probably already going up the Provo to make babies. But there are some that are feeding before spawning and later there will be some that drift back into the lake after spawning. But they can be a bit on the skinny side.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]If you aren't too proud to catch a few rainbows or a stray cutt or two, there have been some good ones caught up in the Rock Cliff arm. Some are surprisingly shallow in the low water.[/#0000ff]
