Upper Bell Canyon Reservoir
#1
Made the long hike up to the upper reservoir in Bell Canyon on saturday. After basically going up stairs for 3.5 hours straight, I was to the point where i would be really disappointed if I didn't manage to get into some fish. When we reached the reservoir, the water was looking really low, but the surface was popping like mad. I tied on an adams, made a couple casts then bam fish on!

I landed that minnow and proceeded to catch a bunch more, all the same size. I kept looking for the rumored monster cutthroat, but though i saw a lot of fish smaller than the one pictured, I didn't find anything bigger. Still a fun time though hitting the little guys on the surface, and you couldn't ask for a prettier setting. Now i just need to wait a couple days until i can walk again.[inline IMG_20130727_113134.jpg]

LOL Great report, but I am sure I would be bed ridden for a week.
If you go back, you might want to look at TANAGO fishing. That could be a blast!.

Haha! i checked out some videos of the tanago fishing. I have no idea what they were saying as they were speaking japanese, but it looked pretty fun! I might have to try it out come ice fishing season.
