Richard and I had a blast this morning fishing the reeds on the south at LB.
Our first catch was at 9:25, and by noon we had caught 20. A couple of times we had doubles. They were hitting almost every cast. They all ranged in size from 21" to 24".
I asked Richard to go out in the deeper water to see if we could get anything bigger, so we trolled out to about 4.5' and sure enough I hit a 27.5" one.
Trying to land him was a real trick as he got up under the boat and got tangled into our stringer of 10. He had to take the fish off the stringer one at a time to get the mess undone. After about 15 minutes we were finally able to net him.
What a great day we had, until the wind came up and blew us off the lake. Boy oh boy was there ever a traffic jam at the boat dock. We had to run the boat up onto the beach and wait for about 30 minutes to even get it on the trailer.
