EC East Canyon help

Is EC a good place to fish for trout?
Is it a decent place to fish early morning/late evening?

I have a small 14ft boat or I can bank tangle.

Im new to the SLC area and I'm trying to find close places to fish for trout but any species will do.

East canyon has evolved the last few years. Seams like EC has some of everything in it.
If you want trout I would troll from the dam south ward till you see fish. Keep going up the west side looking. searching . My best was pop gear and a worm.
As the water begins to cool things will be in transition.

East Canyon is great fishing, a lot of different species to go for.

But like any lake that's close to the city, it gets covered with jet skiers and water skiers that have zero respect for people fishing. Beware going up there in warm weather. Fall and spring is the best time to fish it.

Any body of water I have been on (Berry,Scofield, UT lake), better be off before the wind.
