My wife and I decided to spend a morning fishing Willard today.
After a slow start my wife began to school me by catching several fish in a row.
We finally found an area near the light pole where the fishing became a little more friendly to both of us.
We were able to catch a mixture of species and the bites seemed to fluctuate with the wind, clouds and waves. More waves and clouds seemed to trigger more bites.
Today's total catch would include
4 channel cats (all released)
4 wipers(all released)
9 walleye ( not released)
4 perch (YUM)
All were caught on Flicker Shad crankbaits with # 5 perch and black/silver being the top producers trolled at 1.8 to 2 mph.
