Winter stream fishing
#1
Since the ice has been slow to form on my favorite lakes, I have dusted off my spinning gear and hit a few creeks. The fishing is tough! You really have to work to get through the ice to find open water, but it can pay off. The fish are hungry if you can get to some open water to tempt them. I went home sore all over after this last excursion but we did have some success. Anybody else like to fish small streams in the winter or am I crazy?

Well when there is no ice you gotta do what you gotta do.

I don't fish small streams that much. Because they're always down in acaanyon where it's extra cold and the ice forms in your guides too fast. But hitting the Weber in late November for Browns and whitefish it's something I do, and I like it!
