DeYoungFisherman and I hit the Berry yesterday, and couldn't resist posting a few shots we took. Beautiful day, and gorgeous colors on top of a bunch of nice cutts we caught. The place was almost empty! We figure we won't make it back before the ice rots, but we're happy the 4-wheeler was still able to be used on a firm surface.
Hope you like the photos.

We saw what we think was you, out of a white Suburban?
You're right about it being a great day to be out!

Yes, it was a great time. When I think about fishing in 15-20 degrees below zero earlier in the ice season and compare those trips to yesterday, there really is no comparison. A great way to end the ice season if that proves to be the case.

Yes there is still 20+ inches of ice. There seemed to be about 18" of ice, about a foot of slush, and then another 12" or so of solid ice. If the ice would have been 2 inches thicker my power auger would not have reached. There was zero slush around The Strawberry Marina on Saturday. There was ice constantly forming on our ice holes until around noon. The snow on the ice got a little soft in the afternoon, but no slush.

Thanks.
Still 30+ inches of packed snow and ice. We took out the 4 wheeler, so the surface was plenty good.
We walked out to the Mud Creek area and had a great fish catching day!
