One tip for stills:
No matter how bright the sun, always use flash. Flash eliminates the dark shadow a cap creates, and fully illuminates the angler's face - which is at least the second-most important thing in the shot.

The biggest that night was 44”,,and 35 pounds. That same fish in the fall
Would likely be in the 40 pound range. Cats can be a little on the slim side in the spring in some places.
