Went to Utah lake Thursday and was able to catch around 30 fish in 2 hours. It was a lot of fun. 2" bright sparkling green jigs seemed to work the best. I was also catching them on and orange jig and white jig. I was fishing at the end of the yeti at the state park. 90% of the fish were caught about 5 feet from where I was standing. My friend was getting bored and we ended up shooting some carp with our bows.

Would you mind sharing what time were you catching them? A couple years ago, at this time of year, I noticed that the white bass would start biting and stop biting on a schedule that followed the solunar table very closely. This was the first time I ever observed something like that.
I love taking the kids down to catch them when they are on the bite. The fillets make perfect fish tacos!

My friend and I started around 9:00 and they kept biting till noon. Not that they stopped at noon but we just decided to shoot carp instead. However, with this bad weather coming in you might have to wait until it warms up again. I feel that the white bass bite really well as long as its been really warm for a couple of days in a row.
