Cold morning at East Canyon. Started fishing at 7 am. It was slow, I only iced 7 fish. But it seemed slow for everyone around me as well. The quality was good though. I caught 2 of the 12-13 inchers, a 15". 17", 18 1/4", 18 1/2" then a great bow at 22". The big bow had a nose ring from another unfortunate fisherman. I relieved it of the hardware and put it on the edge of the sled. If anyone recognizes it from losing a big fish up there recently, I still have it in my possession. Had quite a few lookers, but that is all they would do and would just fade away. Hooked one other nice one, but it came unbuttoned near the ice. I fished in 38" of water. Nearly all the fish came through on the bottom. I stayed until 2 pm. Slowed way down after 930. Only marked maybe 2 to 3 fish an hour after that time. Oh and by the way, this was at the tournament up there today. That big bow was the longest measured for the day and ended up winning me a very nice prize of $1000!
