Like many others not too happy with the unseasonable warm weather this past week, I am seeking any information regarding updates of the ice conditions and edges at many of the lakes. Pineview? Rockport? East Canyon? Echo? etc. Is a plank needed to get on the ice? Ice integrity? Hoping to get out again somewhere this weekend. I am hoping that I do not have to begin the long drive to Strawberry yet. Any updates are appreciated?

Echo has been trashed by this weather. Lots of water around the edges. Would exercise extreme caution.
Have not looked at the others local to me but can't imagine they are much better.
I know you did not ask about the berry but the lodge updated that ice conditions are still good and they are taking out clients

The wind blew the last of the ice off Jordanelle yesterday (Thursday). I launched from the PWC ramp as the main ramp was iced in. It was flat calm all morning until 11:30 when it turned to whitecaps in a matter of minutes. I checked the main ramp after a harrowing solo retrieve in the waves at the PWC ramp. The main ramp is now ice free along with the north bay.
DC still had rotten looking ice from the island north toward Charleston when I passed by, but would be surprised if the wind didn't take that ice after I went by.

I just drove past Echo again. A group was coming off the ice. Did not see how they got on. A plank likely. There is water seepage through some pressure cracks. If anyone tries it please be careful.
