[font "Verdana"][size 2]STRIPER: Some fish are being caught by trollers reaching down 18 feet deep.[/size][/font]

[font "Verdana"][size 2]WHITE BASS: They are being caught in the jumps.[/size][/font]
[font "Verdana"][size 2]WALLEYE: They are scattered and slow.[/size][/font]

[font "Verdana"][size 2]SMALLMOUTH: Also being caught at night, but some early and late activity on both largemouth and smallmouth.[/size][/font]
[font "Verdana"][size 2]CRAPPIE: Trollers are having a good time catching lots of keeper crappie on small crankbaits. Other fish also hitting these include catfish, white bass, and yellow bass.[/size][/font]
[font "Verdana"][size 2]HYBRIDS/STRIPERS: Some are being caught very early in the jumps. After that, the fishing is deep.[/size][/font]
[font "Verdana"][size 2]CATFISH: Pole anglers and juggers are catching them on shrimp and liver fishing over much of the lake.[/size][/font]
[font "Verdana"][size 2]BLUEGILL: The bite is good around structure on crickets and other bait.[/size][/font]

[font "Verdana"][size 2]BASS: Largemouth fishing continues to be good with anglers fishing flats or working the bank with crankbaits, spinnerbaits, or plastic baits.[/size][/font]
[font "Verdana"][size 2]STRIPERS: Live bait fishing is good right now, or cut bait if you can find schooling fish.[/size][/font]
[font "Verdana"][size 2]CATFISH: The bite is good on cut bait or on liver over much of the lake and also below the dam.[/size][/font]
[font "Verdana"][size 2]BLUEGILL: The bite is very good around structure.[/size][/font]

'jumps' are also known as 'boils'...it's when predator fish (ie. white bass, stripers, bass, etc) force large schools of baitfish (shad)to the surface. The baitfish will be jumpin out of the water as the predators are hittin them from below. They are spectaculor to watch...welll they were to me! [cool]

I witnessed 'boils' or 'jumps' for the first time ever several weeks ago on the cumberland river. I caught a couple smaller stripers (or rockfish) out of the action. If your in a boat, you can not power over to them, as the disturbance of the boat rapidly approaching will startle all the fish and the activity will end.
