South Carolina Weekly Shallow Saltwater Fishing Report
Week of 07-15-01 through 07-21-01

We had a couple of pretty good trips this week. Wind was a problem on several days, but not so bad we couldn’t fish, but, we did cancel a couple of trips on Friday because of the heavy wind and rain. Reds are still in short supply, but we managed to find a few. Starting on Tuesday, when our higher than normal tides started, we managed to find a couple of them tailing and caught them using weedless spoons. On the days following, we found them on the flats, but not in the numbers we used to see in years past. The wind caused us problems handling the boat, and the clients were hampered in their casting but somehow, we managed to find and catch some of them.

Totals for the week were: Reds totaled 9 with the largest at 9 ½ pounds, sea trout totaled 12 with most of them being the 1 ½ pounders, blue fish were in good supply and about 15 of them were caught, with three of them at 3+ pounds each. A few flounder and ladyfish were caught to round out the week.

PLEASE NOTE OUR NEW E-MAIL ADDRESS.
Thanks, Gene Dickson
Delta Guide Service http://www.deltaguideservice.com
Georgetown, SC
E-mail Address: Delta-Guide-Service@sc.rr.com
1-843-546-3645

We are a saltwater fishing guide service located on the coast of South Carolina.
