Hoss22, I asked this same questin awhile back, fishing at night really worked for my schdule then. Went to strawberry had the tent up about 5ish fished the we sun light that was still up, and continued fishing tell midnight. Ok here are the pro's Had the whole lake to myself, Dead quit, not to cold tent with heater helped. Now the negitives No fish not even a bite I move twice mainly trying to stay awake. but still nothing threw everything I had at them. So I thought to myself if night fishing is so great why am I the only one out here. second it gets really dark, now I have spent the night on my boat out there and caught a few But i wont try night ice fishing again any time soon. But all of this is my experance. hope that helps.[Wink]

So I also have done the night time in the quickfish. Not a fan! The ice makes sounds that are not so inviting. We did however catch fish but it was a long cold night.

I've done it 3 or 4 times in the last few years, but have not gone this year... yet. I have done well each time. It is cold and if it weren't for the tent heater, I'd have frozen to death I am sure. As mentioned, there is usually only a couple people on the ice, it is really quiet, the ice does moan, but I like it. No snow mobiles buzzing around. I have always put a lantern in the tent so I could see, perhaps the light attracts the fish. Usually it is late season when I have gone

Night fishing works better for my schedule too. I was actually up there two weeks ago. Fished from 5 to 9:30 and iced 18 fish. I love having the whole lake to yourself. Positive vote to night fishing especially at strawberry.

Thanks guys for all of the responses. It is just so fun to fish at night and utilize all of your gear, especially your tent and heater. I didn't see any suggestions for spots so I will do a little trial and error. Thanks!

y'all have gotten me interested again. My wife and I are seriously considering going up Friday night. Actually it will be Saturday morning. She gets off work at midnight and I will pick her up and then drive up, Should arrive around 2 am. We will fish thru the night or at least until we can't keep our eyes open any longer and then head home about the time the hords arrive saturday morning. Not sure where we will go yet. Maybe Chicken Creek or the Ladders. Haven't fished the ladders for years. The last time we went we fished Chicken Creek and did well.

Just like daytime fishing, I've had great nights and nights when I got skunked. Heater, lantern and glow-jigs are a must. My new shack is big enough to use a couple of reclining chairs, so if it's slow we can nap a little. The peace and quiet are worth the effort and extra gear. All things considered, I highly recommend it.
