jordan river 35th south ish?

So i moved to west valley a little while ago and the jordan river is really close by. I know that the whole river holds fish but has anyone fished around this area? Ive seen some people fishing along 3100 south and there is a park right off of 35th that is right next to the river. Im probably going to give it a go sometime this week so any info would be cool.

Me and my wife used to fish at the park there. We caught mostly bull heads with the occasional chanel cat using night crawlers.
