I actually live 10 minutes from DMAD, and would like to think I know a bit [crazy] DMAD is interesting in that you never know what is active or in any numbers from year to year. The first year I went I caught bluegills and smallies, whereas the last two years I caught only mudcats. I always throw a jig with worm out there in the summer and always have some luck, however the river around it is where the big fish are, and the Sevier river actually has a good variety of fish, including catfish, perch, bluegill crappie (white and black) bass (Largemouth, Smallmouth, and White) and walleye. Basically it's like the lottery fishing there (at least in my experience). I certainly wouldn't advise anyone to make a special trip down to DMAD, but if you are in the neighborhood and wet a line you may be pleasantly surprised.
