Hobbs

After doing some internet searching, I have come to learn the DWR was attempting to make Hobbs a trophy trout fishery. Has anyone fished this pond? Did their efforts pay off? And does anyone know any regulations other than it being artificial flies and lures only, like if float tubes are allowed on the pond, because I know they aren't on Holmes Creek which is nearby.

I know a few years ago they were using the lake for water skiing and had competition markers out in the water. My brother and i carried a canoe down there one day to give it a try. Down wasn't too bad but coming back out[crazy] I have fished it two times looking for the "trophies" and I have only caught one small rainbow. needless to say i haven't given it much effort sense because the return was so poor. If you find something different please share
