IDFG is starting up a research project to learn more about landlocked Chinook salmon in several reservoirs. The study will compare two types of landlocked Chinook - sterile (triploid) and normal Chinook at Anderson Ranch, Lucky Peak, Deadwood, and Spirit Lake.
Anglers can help biologists learn about these fish by providing a DNA sample! If you catch an adipose-clipped Chinook, put a small slice of fin tissue in the collection station at each reservoir!
