I spent the snowy weekend cleaning the tackle boxes between hard water and trolling season. I found a bottle of Zekes bait with an Allied sticker on it. I don't know when they closed but it has been in my tackle box since then. I am guessing it to be about 25 years old. At that cleaning schedule I won't have to clean again until around 2045. I wonder how many miles that bottle has clanked around back and forth to the lake. Anyone else ever run into well travelled treasures in their boxes.

I'm sure I have many items that old or older in some of my old (rarely if ever used) tackle boxes. When I purchased my first boat the guy was getting up in years so he just gave me his tackle boxes. They were full of flatfish -- all of them various shades and patterns of orange. I think I still have all of those flatfish and most of them could use some new hooks that aren't covered in rust.

Ha ha- I inherited some of my dads gear when he passed a few years ago. I found several packs of snelled hooks from Grand Central and some lures from anglers inn along with some leaded line from Allied sports. Brought back some good memories of opening day at Strawberry.
