Thanks to TDs lures we did good on the Kings..
We was fishing for Bass and stripers but hooked 6 Kings one was 39.8 lb ( when put on the fish an game scales) Oh yes we was fishing on the Umpqua river..
When we showed the on-lookers what we got them on you could hear the bull-s--- sound out..The next day I took another buddy out and used the same lures but only got one about 21lb but we got 43 bass so it was another great day of fishing in Oregon...

Kings are relatively agressive even in fresh water. Always nice to hook into some as bycatch. I’ve hooked into about a dozen in the 12-20 lb range and one that was about 4 and a half feet long and I’m guessing 60 lbs in streams that way fishing for silvers and with the big king I was fishing for sockeye. People always underestimate how non selective most fish really are. I remember one night having trouble catching catfish at lake Powell fishing off a steep drop off from shore. My son wanted to try so we used pieces of hotdog on hand. Couldn’t ever get it down deep enough. Frequently within a second of hitting the water the pesky bass would take the bait.

Wow, that is impressive Cliff, do you have a picture of the TD lure that you could show us? Were you just using the lure or did you have any bait on it?

[#0000FF]Hey Cliff, glad to hear you are still making sure the local fish get plenty of exercise. Happy for you that you landed somewhere with good fishing. But jealous. All the old productive spots in Utah are pretty much gone...compared to the "good ol' days". I cry a lot when I compare recent trips to those in my logs from a few years ago.

No picture of the lure by its self.. but as soon as my buddy sends me the pictures of the fish I will post them..
The lure is one that TD gave me years ago for ice fishing it has a spinner or blade on it..

It was pink and white with a blade, I had two but lost one or my fishing buddy did..Tear drop shape..Other of your lures have caught over 8 types of fish from salt water and fresh..
Tried for rock fish but they are too light to get to the bottom. but they get the shad and sea perch, 4 types..
