I fished Hailstone at the main ramp last week. Frozen slush layer with about 8 to 10 inches cloudy ice under that. It feels strong. I might be doing that tournament.

From last week's DWR Fishing Report:
Jordanelle Reservoir
Good
The south end of the reservoir finally froze. Please use extreme caution as conditions change. Ice thickness is 10 to 11 inches at Rock Cliff, seven to eight inches at Ross Creek and six to seven inches north of Hideout boat ramp.

I was Rock Cliff on Saturday. Thick ice even past the buoys for a little way. Fishing was sloooow. It was pretty crowded on Saturday, I was there from 8:00 until 2:00. Only saw three fish caught all day (by other groups, not me.) One of those fish was a bigger brown trout.
