UL White Bass

Last year I accidentally stumbled upon the white bass spawn at UL and it was a blast. I want to take my kids down this year but i cant remember exactly when i was there last time. When should I expect to see the spawn coming into full force?

Is it better to fish from the shore for them or a boat?

It is normally in May is when the white bass spawn. Fish in the river or along the dikes.

The spawners will be in close so fishing from the bank will work fine. However, white bass can be caught any time of year. People who know more will likely chime in with more specific info.
