Hit Newton Reservoir after work from the bank, soaked a worm and tried a jig under a bobber, no takers. Getting close to full, 3-4 ft until spilling. There were 2 wake boats out causing big waves and one fishing boat working the edges. Didn't see them catch anything either.

Hey Rod, thanks for the report... Man the wave warriors don't miss many opportunities do they... Sorry the fish didn't play very well for you... It was slow on Cutler for me last night too... Did get one carp and missed a few one bite hits, but it was pretty slow, for the 45 minutes I was out before it got dark... When I reeled in for the night, I found those quick hits had stripped all my bait off both hooks on each line... Terrible when they get all four baits and you don't hook a fish, but it was dark, so maybe they bit and I didn't see it... Maybe it was mudders too, was using night crawlers on 3 of the 4 hooks... Next time we'll both do better... Later J
