Rockport 5/31
#1
Went to Rockport thos morning. Arrived at about 8 AM. Started off with a couple perch about 6 inches in length on a 1/32 oz chartreuse jig tipped with worm. Then about 9 the wind came up and started chopping up the water. So I cut up some perch and used a slip bobber with about 10 feet of drop and casted out and destroyed the rainbows. They were all in the 14 inch range but fat and feisty. After 10:30 the bite turned off until about 12:30 when some clouds rolled in and the trout decided to start feeding again. Great day of fishing after a long night at work. Forgot to take pictures before filleting my fish. Caught 1 bass as well.

Thanks for the report, were you fishing from a boat or shore? Sure don't hear of many folks catching perch this time of the year.

I was shore fishing the West side where the steep rock piles are about middle of the lake but boats were trolling in as close as I was able to cast my line.
