Utah lake 8/2 slayed em!!!
#1
Ran down to the west side and pushed the dingy out to 8fow, santee cooper rig and, and sinkerless rigs were the ticket, caught about 10 channels 26-30" long and a few white bass enjoy the pics! My first fish for the contest TEAM SOUTH!!! 12/0 team catfish circle hooks, with half a whitebass was the ticket, for the whitebass I used 2" maniac minnows predator color!

Excellent report. I looked at those 12/0 hooks at Cabela's and thought they were way too big. Heck, the 8/0s seem really big to me and the 12/0s are actually twice as big aren't they? Well, the proof is in the fish's mouth or something like that [Smile]. Get those on the contest and keep up the good work.

The older I get the more I would rather be considered a good man than a good fisherman.

They are not so average if you ask me. I'll take 29-30" fish any day. If those "average" ones are getting in your way like the mudheads do, you can throw some my way. [Smile]

Fritzfishin,

What’s the size of the Peg Float on your rig?
Does it float/suspend that big chunk of White bass well?

Thanks, Brian

thats a 1.5" peg float, i use it for the smaller baits, the larger baits it wont hold them up but i have some 3" coming to try out, unless demon dragon rattling floats become more available and slightly cheaper!
