I just discovered that the Sportsman's Warehouse in Riverdale has some baby carp in their bait freezer - 3 sizes at least.
Apparently their supplier is bringing some in so perhaps other Sportsman's have them also.
For those of us who like those tough frozen critters for Catfish and other critters, it looks like our life got easier.

I havn't herad anything , but I beleave it was this time of year that I went up to benson's and filled a large cooler with carp minnows. took a little time bagging them. lots of dirty looks from the Mrs. When she went to the deep freeze. but saved many a day in the early spring. Maybe Jeff has seen them in there this year?

That is an amazing haul with one cast of your casting net. Reminds me, back in the day, when I caught over 100 minnows with one cast of my casting net from the Strawberry Marina docks.

I understand, and I always prefer to "get and salt my own". But, you know, I tried and tried on the Bear River on 9.21.19 and all I got was baby cats and shad, and more shad, and more shad. Sometimes it is must nice to have a back-up plan.
No shad were harmed, or kept, or removed from the water any longer then necessary to remove them from the cast net and dump them back. Don't want the DWR thinking I am not following the rules. lol [pirate]
