Berry cutts
#1
Fished near Bryant's Fork on Saturday before winter arrived. Water temp was 45 degrees and we caught many slot cuts. Before the winds started to howl, white and pink buggers worked best as well as the baby whitey from drop jaw flies while trolling and stripping in. As the wind started to howl, we anchored up and tried some balanced leeches and chironomids which weren't getting much if any action. Since we didn't have any white or light colored balanced leeches, we tried a new method that worked pretty well using a white tube jig under 2 indicators (since 1 wasn't buoyant enough to hold it Smile. As long as you huck it out 15-20 feet from the boat, and just let it bob on the waves it worked great. Casting tubes and slow reel also worked.
