Got a call from 2knots yesterday to join him in some Berry action today. After clearing the hurdle of not having any appts going on I was in for the day. Arriving at the Bay marina parking lot at day break there wasn't many boats going. It was more like the retired society out for the day. Once on the water and cruising out to a chosen location what boats were out there were scattered and no congestion. After dropping lines in it didn't take long for those swimmers to play. We were able to get 1 1/2 limits before the kokes stopped playing but the cutts let us they were still hanging around. We pulled up lines at 1pm and started heading down the mountain. Thanks Alan for a great day and couldn't have picked a better day to do it. We picked up some 2lb class silver bullets with one 3 1/2lber. When the kokes play we oblige them.

Thanks for coming along Roger and congrats on the pig of the day. Roger didn’t mention that as we crested Daniels Summit and the road construction started the cones moved us to the right shoulder and had a dead deer laying in the lane, not much I could do but try and center to go under the truck and boat, it cleared the truck but not the boat, now I have trailer break lines to replace, always an adventure lol. Chartreuse was the color today from 37-50’ OTW, APEXS out performed hoochies (except on the cuts) temp at 40’ was 54.8 degrees with 52 degree water at 50’. Good to be back out after having my mom out to visit for a week and getting the sod down on Friday and Sat

Meanwhile, over at the Gorge, we caught 8, lost one of those at the boat.  Returned 3 under 10" and kept these 4.

The big one is 3 lbs, 6 oz.

thanks for the picture of the lures,   the blue dodgers for me have not been working that good this year. last year they were hot. that orange and yellow squid has been a good one for me
here is a reading on my Fish Hawk X4D System that I saved to my cell phone
6:09 am    probe depth 42 feet   probe temp 50. 9 deg. top water temp. 67.6 deg          speed at probe 1.5 mph
 8:15 am                      44                           50.7                                 67.5                             1.2

most of the time it was 53  deg. at 40 feet
I broke my old probe and had to buy a new one  I may need to check and adjust the temp on this one.  but the speed on this one works a lot better than the old probe   Fish Hawk X4D Probe $299.99 not to cheep.

Nice going Bob, hoping to make another trip soon there. I wish it was 2hr trip & not a 3hr so I could frequent it more often.

The blue hasn’t done much this season for me either and the orange did well last trip but was a big zero for kokes this trip. I took my temp depth readings before we started trolling, and yes those probes are expensive to replace which I haven’t had to do yet but I’m sure at some point I will need to
