Nice report and pics Alan, looks like a fun time. That cabin looks sketchy with those small poles supporting the overhanging part.

My thought exactly but it’s been there for quite a few years, it would of been washed away by the flood in 64 though

Maybe it's built on a steel frame and anchored on the side that is sitting on the ground but that would have taken a lot of engineering.

Based on the angles and the distances in from a highway I’m pretty sure its a true bush build

Based on the angles and the distances in from a highway I’m pretty sure its a true bush build If that is the case it sounds like the longer it sits there the more dangerous it will get, unless they replace those support poles every 3 or 4 years or those supports are 2 or 3 ft across.

Lost 1 today and Greg had a hit that didn’t stick, so slow start for day 1, did see a few fish caught but definitely not as good as it was yesterday

Great pictures, thanks for the report! I almost got back to Gold Beach this year, hopefully next year.
Is the dredge active at GB and does that affect the catching?

Dredge is here this year, we’ve keys done well when it’s in and they open the mouth.

Trolling anchovies with a dropper leader and a 3oz weight running about 1.5 to 2.2 mph. We have been out starting around 6:30 each day but it’s definitely an afternoon bite with the tide, just can’t sit in camp lol. We are currently still trolling and it’s 4:30 here

Very nice king, about the same size as last time? You guys are some tough dudes, saying out there that long every day. Does Greg at least split the fish with you if he is doing all the catching?
