Soldier Creek 1/18

Went into soldier creek on snowmobiles with a large group yesterday, the ice was barely 5”. Fishing was pretty tough I only iced 20 fish about half rainbows most pretty small did get 2 over 16” and the rest typical slot cuts. I broke off a really large slot buster at the hole I got his snout to the hole three times but my buddy kept losing his grip and he would slide back down and eventually broke off. Juma caught 14, Corbin caught 9 and the other 8 people with us caught 1 or 2 each.

Thanks for the report and pics Shawn, looks like a fun trip. Did you notice what the air temps were when you arrived or left?

It was 10 degrees according to my truck didn’t look when I left. I’m taking some kids to Rockport tomorrow going to be 0 when we arrive at 7:30 and 17 when we plan packing up around 2:00 pm.

JMor and I will be out there tomorrow too. Sounds like a lot of BFTers will be there as well.
