AF harbor construction?

I had a few spare hrs. yesterday and decided to clear my head and waded out to pitch a few jigs for walleye at the AF creek entrance to the lake yesterday (not a bump). Noted the closure and construction at AF harbor. Wondering if anyone has found a timeline on when the work will be completed.

I had a few spare hrs. yesterday and decided to clear my head and waded out to pitch a few jigs for walleye at the AF creek entrance to the lake yesterday (not a bump). Noted the closure and construction at AF harbor. Wondering if anyone has found a timeline on when the work will be completed.

The City of Saratoga Springs is doing the construction.  They have just finished up Phase 1 of a 5 Phase project.  Phase 2 is ongoing and is expected to be done this September.  Phase 3 January 2020-Fall 2027, Phase 4 January 2028-Fall 2029, Phase 5 January 2030-Fall 2031.  

So, in short, it's not going to be done completely until Fall, 2031.  The final plan looks really nice for this project.  I'm glad it's going to be open to the public.  Utah Lake needs another North shore marina.  With our population growing we'll need big waters such as Utah Lake to spread us out a bit.  They applied for a grant through the Boater Advisory Council that I'm a part of and we reviewed it this week.  It was a well-prepared presentation, and I believe everyone on the board was for this project.

The AF Harbor project is going pretty good. I check on it every week. They are working on the parking lot for boat parking plus the swim beach. They are installing a retaining wall on the north side of the parking area to separate swim/play area from the parking. They are working on the dike that goes out to the entrance to the harbor and that will be paved also. Complexation for project is hoped to be Memorial Day in May.

Now the other project that fstop2 is referring to is the new facility at the end of 2300 West in Lehi/Saratoga Springs. That project is right on the very North end of the lake. There used to be a private launch ramp/harbor there. Several years ago they went in and cleared all the phragmities out, graded the land, and left it. It was posted as Federal land. Saratoga Springs has control of it now and they are just starting to develop it. First phase will be done and open in 2026 according to Saratoga Springs City.
