Pelicans On FIre
#1
Pelican was on fire sat afternoon. any topwater would pull the bucketmouths out of the reeds. Blue gill were fiesty as ever (didnt even let the worm hit bottom. bass seamed to favor a frog spotted popper cast right tight to edge of reeds (I was on shore) blue gill were not picky. after 1.5 hours it was getting a little boring. I hate when the fishing is that good.

P.S. if you love Chinese food Vernal has a new restraunt buffet crab leggs after 3:30 and they make your stirfry in front of you. well worth the $9.95 best I have ever had.

I am telling yall, eat some garlic the night before and not one bug will bother you for at least 2 days.. Do I go straight through Duchene to get to pelican? That sounds like some action I cant afford to miss!!!

Hey Rigg,

You were very specific about what you were using for the largies, but what exactly were you using to do so well on the blues? How do you present the worms?

Thanks,

PF

Camping facilities are kinda primitive there. They do have a bathroom not far from the boat dock. They don't have cemented fire pits but they do have some fire pits made.they also have picnic tables set up.No running water.
