[size 2][font "Arial"]CONCORD, NH —The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department (FGD) recently stocked an additional 500 brood-stock Atlantic salmon into the Merrimack, Pemigewassett and Contoocook rivers, bringing the number of brood fish stocked this spring to 900. [/font][/size]
[font "Arial"][#000000][size 2]FGD officials say the salmon, raised at a federal hatchery in Nashua as part of the Merrimack River Anadromous Fish Restoration Program, were primarily released for recreational fishing. The fish range in size from 3 to 16 pounds. [/size][/#000000][/font]
