Jordanell Ice ?

Has anybody got info on how well the ice is building there?

Drove by Jordanelle yesterday. Ice was almost non existent. The ice that was there was nowhere near being safe. Sorry.

The area by the dam was obviously open, the middle bay and rock cliffs had the very thin unsafe looking ice.

no safe ice. if you even try to go out there you are crazy and are going to die. if it gets cold again, there should be some at the end of the month

Some times the ice looks decieving until we go test it. I kept hearing that the ice on pineview looked unsafe until I went there this weekend and it turned out to be 10" thick.

[cool]I believe CBR told me a few weeks ago when we went to Strawberry that he drove by Rock Cliff a few days before that and saw people ice fishing on it, or he saw peoples ice holes that they had drilled, so people have been fishing it since around Christmas. Guess it wasn't anyone from this board or else they are holding out on us. Maybe CBR can elaborate on what he saw.

a good chunk of the skin that was on the lake this morning had melted off by 3:00. Every weather report I can find has temps in the 40's for park city for the next two weeks. I know it would only take a couple of days of cold weather to harden jordanelle, but I think it may be a little while before we see it.

well i like to say i know my way around the middle provo river, but with reconstrustion to "improve" the fshing and wetlands int he area i seem to not be in the same waters anymore. as for my tube...it died. i am saving up for a new one so in spring i can get out and soak a few hooks with ya. winter, ahhh the ice. wait a minute, my ice pole was shattered when i was remodeling my room, lol. only a few bucks for a new one though, guess a trip to sportsmans is at hand. and yes i do know a few good spots to drill a hole, but no real secrets. i dont know how much ice fishing i will be doing this year hopefully a lot as for my snowboard season has "crashed" to a stop, i am pending surgery as i write this post. not too sure what happened but i seem to not be able to move my right arm very much at the moment. but i am certain i can break a few lips with my left arm, so... ice fishign sdhould be a go. wow i wrote a lot, lol. pm me and i can fill ya in, mabye even get a ice trip planned for me and my dad you you fellas

well i will do that, looks like surgery may not be needed, quite yet...just some therapy. so i should eb out on the ice soon. and back on the slopes in a few weeks. now i have always wanted to head to pelican over the ice, and i know my dad sure like that lake, mabye we could meet up at pelican or something. ill have him write you up. hes goign to be the one that decides cuz he will be driving.ill have him send you a pm.

lol, yeah its looking like your right. hopefully not though. ive missed too much boarding, lol. we need a few more months of good snow and cold weather to keep it here.
