[cool]I finally got the pics back. The first is of the four on friday evening;one 7.5lber,two 3lbers, and an 11lber. The next ones are of my buddies with the total and them myself. The fish, there were 15 of them, range from 2lb4oz to 11lbs. We almost filled up two stringers.

Nice, very nice. I haven't seen a mess of fish like that since BaySport had his bow loaded with them summer before last. Thanks for the pictures.

Take care,
David

[cool]Hey jj74. Yeah they were all caught from shore.Check out www.ndow.org to find out where and when they are planting the trout. They also provide directions to those locations. Cast a swimbait or other lure that looks like the size and colors of a rainbow trout and hang on. The stripers hit them hard and gives you a good rush. Powermaker also posts the NDOW reports on the board. Good luck.

jj74, it turns out that the planted trout do become Striper food. So, just about any large trout plug or swimbait can get you hooked up with a striper or 2. The best time to get them is at or just after the time the planters are stocked. Depending on what people are fishing for (trout or striper) it can get busy along the shoreline.

Take care,
David

[cool]Hey jj74. Yeah they will eat up the trout. I haven't got one yet on a rapala but I have seen them hit A/C plugs on the surface. As long as your lure looks like a trout and is close to the same size( this can vary but you can use lures that are smaller say 4" or bigger) you should get bit. Usually they will hit the trout lures all during the trout planting season which is from November to the end of March. After that it is a hit or miss situation.
