Crimson,
I was at Powell the 21 thru the 25th of April, We caught walleye in seven mile canyon. Did well with a rootbeer colored single tail grub.1/4 and 3/8 ounce. Also crappie in the same area, same color. Also did well with smallies in this canyon. Watermellon and chartruse single tails again. Picked up some nice stripers also in the same canyon. We were jigging chovies once we graphed them and school's of shad. biggest smallie was 17" and 3.5 lbs on a spinner bait
Good luck

I was down there the weekend before last. We camped up at Good Hope, and spent much of the time fishing that area. It is usually good but the lake was coming up a few inches each night, and the water got more and more turbid. There was quite an algae bloom, which is odd for the lake. The mudline moved down lake daily and by the time we left it was just south of Cedar Canyon. I would fish anywhere below the mudline, where the fishing for all species would likely be more consistent. You'll pick-up your walleyes while pitching for smallies or trolling for stripers in that clearer water.
