Well I did a big boo-boo..... I thought you culd use more than one poll at Utah Lake. You can if you have a license.... Now I remember, I think it was TubeDude, that said you had to have a special license.[pirate]
Anyone know the cost on it?
I think it's up to $100 .
A guy that was with me forgot his license so he got a ticket too.
I must say. The ticketing officer was really nice about it. My hats off to him.

I don't know what the second pole cost is.. used to be ten but I think the other guy is right, they raised it a little. The CO's out there at that lake are super nice guys, even when they catch you having a absent minded moment... one time the dude caught me, asked me if I had my license and when I told him no, he just sent me home to get it because I hadn't actually started fishing yet. They are good guys. Was it the older guy named Vic? He's the one I run into the most and he's always been nice to me.

I don't want to pay the full fine, so I may take a day of to go tell the judge how stupid and brain dead I am, and see if he will atleast reduce it.

[#505000]Take some advice from a guy who spends a fair amount of time in court.....[/#505000]
[#505000][/#505000]
[#505000]Go buy a second pole permit before you go. Just pleading guilty and begging for mercy likely won't work. If you show the judge you have "fixed" the problem it goes a lot further.[/#505000]

Hey Marshall, I know this is a little off the fishing subject, but I thought you could take a little solice in the fact that we all make bone head mistakes and have to pay for them. The guy that installed my sprinklers didn't hook it up to the weber water he just tied it into the culinary. I recently fixed the problem, but I didn't unhook the culinary water and with both systems still on the culinary water over pressured the secondary water and flowed backward into the secondary water system. I finally found my mistake when I recieved last months water bill. Usually a whopping $28.00, it jumped to just over $200.00. I couldn't believe it, I did the math and it works out to a little over 100,000 gallons of water wasted by me; the moron. I doubt your oversight is going to cost you $170.00.

On the positive side, had the secondary water had more pressure than the culinary water you might have gotten a lot of people sick or worse!

I think it's worth it to show up in a shirt and tie, admit guilt and ask for a little more leniency, I've done it and saved some cash flow. What do you have to lose? Face up to your mistake and hopefully he'll cut you some slack, after all, with dealing with drug addicts and drunk drivers all day, your second pole fine will look like a joke to him.
