Goshen WMA Utah Lake
#1
We fished it from 6:00 am to 10:00 am out of the old aluminum boat. Used night crawlers under and bobber and red shiners under a bobber just outside the reeds. Caught four channel cats between 16 and 22 inches and 7 or 8 mud cats. All the muds were on the nightcrawlers, however so where half the channels. Was a fun morning, the bite seemed to slow down a lot as the sun came up. Could barely get the boat in and out of the water over there because the water came in pretty shallow by shore, however, outside the reeds it was 4 feet.

WMA = Wildlife Mangement Area. WMA's are operated by the UDWR. Some of the more popular WMA's include Farmington Bay and Ogden Bay. Hope this helps!

How deep is it over there and how do you get there? Are there any rock structures?

There is a sign for the wma on the highway around the backside of west mountain just before the road turns and heads into Genola, unless your coming from the south through Genola like me, then it is the first place you could fish the lake which is why I go there sometimes. There isn't much rock structure, but this year the water is up into all the reeds, especially where the stream runs in coming out of Goshen Canyon.
