I am planning on going up to "The Narrows" in Idaho this Saturday, anyone care to join? It is the Bear River, just below Oneida Dam, called the Narrows for the tight canyon it flows through. Anyhow, I have gone ever since I was a kid and have never been skunked. I have caught, walley, smallmouth, browns, cutthroats, rainbows, and the occasional sucker and carp. You can use spinners, flies, worms, or powerbait. I AVERAGE around 25-30 fish a day up there with the biggest being a 6 lb. brown, but all in all it is a great river fishing trip.

I've always wanted to fish the Narrows but have never made it up there yet. Can you fish it from a boat or is it shore fishing only? Good luck today and let us know how you do. WH2

Sounds like fun. I've fished the "Narrows" several times, but it does not sound like the same "Narrows" that you are going to. The ones I've fished are just below the Teton Dam at the confluence of the Teton river and Bitch Creek kind of near Driggs Idaho. We hike down the gorge with float tubes on our backs and float the river, standing up to fish the holes. It is some of the best fishing there is!

That sounds great, where about's is that? I never did make it up there this weekend, so disregard my invitation HAHAHA. I had a bunch of things going on I.E. poker party, buying a brand new camper, things like that, so hopefully the weekend after Thanksgiving weekend, I will be able to head up there with the new camper or maybe this coming Friday since I have the day off.
