One of my buddies and his two kids fished out by "The Rock" from about 7:45 until noon. It was a blustery -15 when we arrived and didn't feel like it got any warmer until about 9:30 or 10:00 (although it never got real comfortable). The fish weren't overly cooperative until about 8:30. We were cold and not feeling all that energetic either. The ice and snow combination was a solid 12 plus inches.
At about 8:30 the fishing got hot and came in waves for the rest of the time there. They seemed to like yellow RF's and small white curl tail jigs tipped with a worm the best. By noon the two of us had landed about 20 to 25 fish and big 'swing and misses' on at least that many more. The bite was very light as usual. About 25% of those landed were the little 8 inch planters. The others were in the 15 to 22 inch range. All were rainbows. When the wind and snow picked up a little before noon it was time to go. Unfortunately I forgot my camera or I'd have some pictures to share.
Hope everyone else had a great day on the ice today.
